French President Elect Hollande Cartoon

France held a second round of Presidential Elections on May 6, 2012, pitting the Conservative incumbent President Nicolas Sarkozy against his Socialist rival, Francois Hollande. Mr. Hollande won.  Among his supporters, those who would loosen the rules against illegal immigrants into Gaul. Oh, the gall.

In response to the obvious gag, Laughzilla drew this French President Elect Hollande Cartoon for The Daily Dose. The cartoon, featuring the French President Elect, shows him thanking, in French and Arabic, those who would walk towards the path of immigration in France.

French Presidential Elections Editorial Cartoon

The first round of voting in the French Presidential Elections of 2012 were scheduled to take place on April 22, 2012. The leading candidates were the incumbent, President Sarkozy, a Conservative, and his Socialist Party rival, Francois Hollande.

Naturally, Laughzilla had to illustrate an editorial cartoon about the campaign, and so was born the #OccupyBrieBallots Cartoon for The Daily Dose originally on April 21, 2012.

U.S. Secret Service Sex Scandal Editorial Cartoon

The United States Secret Service was besmirched when a detail of the Presidential Protective Services ran a prostitution party around an event President Obama attended in Colombia. The uproar from the #SecretServiceSexScandal caused a bunch of heads to roll, politically, for the actions of those whose duty it is to uphold the law and protect the President from all danger and disrepute.

Of course, Laughzilla had to draw this story in caricature, and so was made the Secret Service Sex Scandal Cartoon for The Daily Dose originally on April 20, 2012.

The MTV Networks cable television show Pimp My Ride is not associated with this cartoon in any way.

Annan Assad Cease-Fire in Syria Caricature

April 10th came and went, and there was no sign of a cease-fire in Syria. April 12th came and went and there was no sign of military withdrawal from city centers and population centers in Syria. Despite the guns falling mostly silent, there were various acts of violence on both sides in the first 24 hours, but in general the peace plan was seen as “holding, if barely”. Still, all predictions by analysts were that most likely, the fighting would return, and with a vengeance. And so they began pushing for international monitors to be on the ground, to know whether or not the cease-fire was actually holding.

Only time would tell whether or not the diplomatic deal would hold, or if the rather uncivil war would turn into a full fledged revolution that the government would be bent on quashing. The Syrian Army and Air Force would have used the respite to rest, re-arm, and re-supply their forces in the field. More bloodshed was presumed inevitable.

Hebrew Flight from Egypt Or Syrians Fleeing Occupy Exodus Humor

Passover reminds us of the great suffering of the Hebrew People at the hands of the Pharaoh in Egypt. In 2012, it also reminded us of the great suffering the people of Syria had to contend with at the hands of their modern day Pharaoh (sans any Wonders of the World) as Bashar Assad slaughtered men, women, children, young and old alike, in his effort to “quell terrorists” who opposed his brutal rule.

And so it was, that Laughzilla made this Hebrews Or Syrians Fleeing Occupy Exodus cartoon for The Daily Dose originally on April 7, 2012, in the full color, for your enjoyment. The cartoon was made in support of the #OccupyExodus movement, because not only the top 1% of refugees should own more than half of all the exodus resources and entitlements.

Passover comes and goes, and the matzo remains as afflicting as ever. Fortunately there are at least several cups of wine to liven up the spirit during the long traditional Seder meal that brings in 7 days of the Passover holiday.

In 2012, Laughzilla drew inspiration from the importance of remembering the burdens of our forefathers and created this Happy Passover Wine cartoon for Oy Vey originally on April 6, 2012, in the splendor of full color. Celebrate freedom.

Bashar Assad said he accepted the plans for an immediate cease-fire, while increasing the amount of daily kills his brutal regime was serving up for the evening news.

The Bashar Assad April Fool’s Cartoon was published by Laughzilla for The Daily Dose originally on April 1, 2012, and highlights the early grave for Syrian democracy, at the hands of President Assad and the certain failure that was the UN’s 6 Point Plan.

By the end of March, 2012, The UN had send its former Secretary General, Kofi Annan, to Damascus, in order to try to broker a peace deal that would put an end to the year old lopsided war raging in Syria.

Bashar Assad, to no one’s surprise, was up to the political game, and did his part to play the king, despite officially being only a president.

And so it was, that Bashar the Butcher, probably buckling under internal pressures from his rather angry British-born wife, Asma, formally accepted what was to become known as The Six Point Plan. This plan included:

1) Stop Using Snipers

2) A daily 2 hour Halt to Fighting

3) Don’t Mistreat Captives

4) Cease Fire!

5)  Don’t Shell Reporters

6) Target Peace Talks

These 6 points, of course, were twisted in meaning by the dictator of Damascus, and Laughzilla highlighted the ways in which the plan perceived by the Syrian regime in this How Assad Accepts the UN Six Point Plan editorial cartoon. The comic drawing was made in an effort to contribute art to the #OccupyNGOs movement, because the top 1% of NGOs should not own more than half of all the crises.
